Among the more than 28,000 workshop cranes delivered over the last decades, there are thousands that we have personalised to our customers’ individual requirements. More lifting height, a narrower chassis, special wheels, traction systems, etc. None of that is a problem! Sometimes just a small change is enough, such as an eyelet instead of a hook, and the unit is perfectly adapted to your needs.
Many units are built just once, for a particular customer. Some developments, however, were later incorporated into improved standard versions, or even became part of the normal equipment. Adapting our cranes to your conditions and to the ever-changing needs of the market is our ultimate objective.
85 years of experience guarantee that our specialists will carefully examine every step in the development and that they will deal with your request conscientiously. Depending on the design, our special cranes are also examined and passed by an outside crane expert.
Our experience is your gain! You just need to tell us about your needs using the questionnaire ‘Your crane, made to measure‘ and we will check free of charge on its possible construction.
We show you below some of the special developments for certain sectors, with all sorts of capacities, as an example of the solutions that we have provided for our customers to help them in their work.
You can also consult the list of FAQs that our customers ask us, and a glossary of technical terms, in normal use in the field of workshop cranes.
SOME EXAMPLES OF OUR SPECIAL CRANES

Industrial crane with stabiliser legs, totally electric (movement, lifting and telescopic jib), for loads of up to 2,000 kg.
Totally electric workshop crane with parallel stabiliser legs, designed for a large load capacity, in particular at maximum reach.
Built for continuous use, this especially robust crane supports loads of up to 2,000 kg and can handle 1,150 kg even at maximum extension, some 1500 mm in front of the wheels.
Its operation is totally electric, including lifting, moving and the telescopic load jib, which can be extended and retracted even with a load. The lifting and extension operations are controlled from the remote button panel. The speed when lowering can be controlled.

Manual crane in stainless steel and with ATEX 1 protection, FaPo assisted, for loads of up to 500 kg.
This is a manual counterweight crane designed to operate in ATEX 1 areas.
The maximum load capacity is 500 kg, with 360 kg at some 1,000 mm jib projection and, at maximum reach, some 1,500 mm in front of the wheels, can handle 240 kg.
The physical and mechanical characteristics are those of a standard crane in this category and level of equipment, with the exception that it is entirely constructed in stainless steel and has all the adaptations needed for operating in ATEX 1 conditions. It is fitted with FaPo® power assisted movement and precision positioner; on this occasion specially constructed in stainless steel and with a Hydrobull precision hydraulic pump also of the same characteristics.
This crane was specially and individually produced to order for the customer.

Industrial counterweight crane with electric movement, lifting and extension for loads of 1,400 kg.
This is a fully electric and especially robust counterweight crane, which was developed to a special load capacity and lifting specification for large working loads.
Its maximum load capacity is 1,400 kg with the jib retracted, at some 1,450 mm in front of the wheels, which reduces progressively and without continuity to 840 kg at a reach of 2,500 mm. The maximum lifting height is 3,900 mm and relatively little space is needed for such a big performance.
Both movement and lifting are electric and can be operated from both the drive device and the remote button bar. As a particularly special feature this crane has a load jib that can be extended and retracted electrically, even when loaded.
The functioning of this unit has been specially reinforced to guarantee continuous operation with maximum reliability. No special permit is needed for its operation.

Manual counterweight crane with pneumatic tyres and forklift slots for loads of up to 200 kg.
This manual counterweight crane was designed for the German armed forces and is used for working inside aircraft.
It has a maximum load capacity of 200 kg and, with the jib fully extended at 1,500mm in front of the wheels, it can deal with 100 kg.
Due to special load conditions on this type of surface, it was decided to fit the crane with pneumatic tyres. As the unit has to be lifted into and out of the aircraft, it is fitted with forklift slots, so that the crane, including the filled counterweight, can be transported by a forklift truck of suitable power. (Always without load on the crane). In addition, there are towing rings so that the crane can be towed (without load) and fixed.
Another situation in which it may be necessary to use fully elastic pneumatic tyres would be if the unit had to operate on gridded flooring.
N.B. With this type of wheels the FaPo® power assisted system is not used.
