Truck with overhead power line.
View of a roller truck with an overhead power line moving on rails.

The truck is designed to reach a speed of 80m/min. It is used to pick up or put down a load and move it between different transport lines and, in turn, deposit it on a fixed conveyor for purposes of picking or leave it ready for despatch.

The unit comprises a mobile chassis made of electro-welded tubing and linked to machined plates in order to fix the transmission for the truck’s movement. The power group has 4 vulcanised wheels with axles and bearings supporting the chassis. It is fitted with 2 flanged wheels to guide the truck along the guide system on the floor.

The guide rail system for the movement is in the form of a U-shaped rail. At the ends of the rails are cellulose buffers for safe stopping.

Electric power to the truck can be supplied in two ways, by a closed 40 amp power line or by a cable chain.

On the mobile chassis a roller or chain conveyor is fixed which transfers the load to other fixed conveyors.
