Stackers and destackers.
View of an installation of pallet stackers and destackers.

This equipment is used for stacking or destacking pallets, making packets of up to 15 units, for a maximum load capacity of 500 kg. Normally, in lines where picking takes place, the pallets end up empty. This equipment gives the line a system of collecting and stacking the pallets for storage.

It works with an electric or pneumatic lifting system. To pick up the pallets, it has folding claws which lift them to form stacks. The stacking system works by introducing an empty pallet onto the conveyor, the claws then emerge and pick up the pallet leaving a free space for the next one; when another pallet is there the claws lower the first and place it on top, then the claws are retracted and lowered again to pick up the two together to leave room for another below. The destacking works in reverse, emptying a pile of pallets.

The pallet transport system can be used with roller or chain conveyors fixed to the floor.
