Tandem lift tables with integrated conveyor and mobile chassis.
Tandem lift tables with integrated roller conveyor and electric travel on rails, fitted with bumpers for protection.

The scissor conveyor, also called a pallet transfer station (PTS), is an ultra-flat lift table with integrated roller or chain conveyor. With its low construction height, 80 mm, no forklift is needed as it can be fed directly with a pallet truck, and no need to build a pit, which means a great saving in costs.

The pallet can be delivered at the height of the roller conveyor, up to a maximum of 1100 mm.

There are several types of scissor conveyors, with rollers divided in trident or U form to allowing entry of the pallet truck fork, another type has full width rollers and maintains the transport level at the height necessary to move the load on. We also have a scissor conveyor with chains, more suited to crossed pallets or with special skids.
Special characteristics
  • These scissor conveyors are equipped with a high performance hydraulic group, producing up to 120 cycles/hour for 24 hours, at a lift/lower speed of up to 120 mm/sec.
  • Run stops, contact strip and sheet casing included in standard supply.
  • The conveyor is composed of an impact resistant chassis and has guides to channel the loading and the pallet truck. The structure is drilled at many points for fixing the drive rollers.
  • The power group is on a support fixed to the structure and has a gear motor with support and 1 double pinion for traction with a chain loop linked to the drive rollers.
  • The rollers are made in zinced steel tubing. They are of diameter 60 mm and have a double metal pinion with chain loop transmission.
  • The supports for the stop sensors are located on the table, strategically placed for good adjustment and concealed so that they do not interfere with the load.

Conveyor with divided or full width rollers (CFP / CFE)

Roller conveyor for use with manual pallet truck or to move loads at 80 mm above ground level.

There are two types of conveyors, rollers divided into a three-prong trident form to allow for entry of the pallet truck fork, or full width rollers which maintain the transport level at 80 mm to move the load on.

The divided rollers are the form most used, followed by a lifting station with rollers to access a higher transport level.

The conveyor comprises:

  • A strong chassis, impact resistant and with guides to channel the load and the pallet truck. The structure is drilled at many points for fixing the drive rollers.
  • The power group has a support fixed to the structure and consists of a gearr motor with support and 1 double pinion for traction with a chain loop connecting to the drive rollers.
  • The rollers are made in zinced steel tubing. They are of diameter 60 mm and have a double metal pinion with chain loop transmission.
  • The supports for the stop sensors are installed on the table and located strategically for good adjustment and concealed so that they do not interfere with the load.

Hydraulic lift tables with roller conveyor incorporated for production chain

Lift tables operated by hydraulics are widely used and combine excellent quality-price ratio with long life and good performance. Our modern systems, with variable frequency drive, represent growing profitability within a short time.

One particular feature is the technique we have developed which decisively reduces heat generated in the oil at high frequencies and movement speeds.

In comparison with traditional systems it can be guaranteed that full capacity is maintained with high performance.

Advantages of hydraulic operation:

  • an excellent performance-price ratio
  • high working frequencies (up to 200 cycles/hour)
  • long life
  • great availability giving high performance
  • possibility of regulation by frequency converter
Function and description

The production chain lift table is conceived as a “compound machine” for a transport installation integrated into an assembly chain.

It is used for the following tasks:

  • Taking loads from a horizontal conveyor when the table is in a high position.
  • Lifting or lowering loads to the final position.
  • Delivering to a lifter or conveyor.
Upper frame with loading platform

The upper frame of strong steel sections supports the loading platform. It can be supplemented by installing a roller or chain driven conveyor.

The conveyor is composed of:

  • A chassis impact resistant and with the structure drilled at many points for fixing the drive rollers.
  • The power group has a support fixed to the structure and consists of a gear motor with support and 1 double pinion for traction with a chain loop connected to the drive rollers.
  • The rollers are made in zinced steel tubing. Their diameter is 60 mm. and they carry a double metal pinion with chain loop transmission.
  • If necessary, a motor-driven turntable can be incorporated with the lift table, as well as the usual roller or chain conveyor.
  • The supports for the stop sensors are installed on the table and located strategically for good adjustment and concealed so that they do not interfere with the load.

The run stop switches limit the final position (high and low); in the case of high lifting speeds double run stops are fitted, with one commuted at a low speed to avoid sudden braking during lifting.

Scissor system

The scissor system allows the load to be lifted or lowered to the desired height. The lifting system is powered by a hydraulic group connected to the lifting-lowering cylinders of the scissor system by hydraulic hoses. A simple scissor system is composed of two articulated arms connected by bearings. Other possible scissor systems are: double pantograph scissor, tandem double pantograph and the cylinders can also be arranged in reverse direction. The scissor elements are joined to the upper and lower frames by fixed rolling bearings. The scissor ends are supported on roller bearings on guides screwed to the lower frame and under the upper frame. All the bearings used are from recognised manufacturers (Elges, SKF and others). The rolling bearings are screwed and incorporate high performance plain bearings which are maintenance free and have anti-dust protection. The guides for the roller bearings are detachable. The hydraulic cylinders for lifting and lowering are joined to the scissors. In addition adjustable mechanical stops can be fitted to define the up and down track limits.

Hydraulic group

The power to lift the platform is supplied by a hydraulic group connected by hydraulic hoses to the lifting-lowering cylinders of the scissor system. The hydraulic group can be installed beside the lift table or incorporated into the lower frame, and comprises the following components of well-known international brands:

  • Electromotor connected to a hydraulic pump.
  • Tank with oil level indicator and oil and air filters.
  • Lifting/lowering valve including an emergency vent valve.
  • Housing for a manometer to check the pressure in the hydraulic system.
Safety devices

Our lift tables meet the safety requirements for lift tables under DIN EN 1570.

  • Below the upper frame is the perimeter contact strip on all 4 sides as an anti-shear device which immediately stops the descent when meeting an obstruction.
  • Locking bars for maintenance: folding safety supports for servicing which prevent the lifting table from descending during repair and maintenance work.
  • The cylinders incorporate safety valves to prevent uncontrolled descent of the table should the hoses fail.
The lifting/lowering electro-valve of the platform works without power. In the event of power loss the platform stays where it is, in the same position. In the event of power loss the emergency valve will allow the table to be lowered safely.
Important accessories for accurate placing in the final positions:
  • Fixed rubber bottom stop, adjustable + 25 mm, for a smooth and silent end to lowering.
  • Fixed stop for lifting, adjustable ± 25 mm. The lift table rises until it reaches the upper rebound stop. When the hydraulic group is working by inertia super-pressure is produced (max. 0.2 sec.). This stabilises the lift table and makes the collection or delivery of the load safer.
